Work from home page update May 2, 2012

Happy Wednesday!

For those of you interested, I just updated my “work from home” page. I’ve added two more sites that I have found to help bring in extra money.

1. Opinion Place: You are given a new survey on this site about once per week, and they will pay you accordingly..usually $2-$3. They pay you with a Paypal or Amazon certificate sent to your email account. It doesn’t seem like a lot of money, but it adds up over time! Add this to other survey sites you use, and it helps.

2. Jingit: This site is relatively new to me..and I’m still figuring it out. You are paid to watch advertisement videos. Usually they will pay between $5-$10 per week. They also have apps for Andriod and Iphones that allow you to check in at certain places, and take surveys about a particular product.

So, add those two to your list! All of the sites I have mentioned can be found under the “Work From Home” page at the top.

My mom is coming in town tomorrow to visit the kids, and also attend my older sister’s baby shower on Sunday.  Her son is due at the end of July, and we are all so excited! Unfortunately, she lives a few states away, so don’t see them too often. My sister has always been my best friend, and been there for me through everything. I am so excited to meet her son, and look forward to watching our kids grow up together! Even if it’s just on holidays:)

Paige is turning two on the 19th, if you can believe it! Check back soon, I will be sharing her birth story!

Colt just turned seven months, and is getting so big! I think he will skip crawling, and just go on to walking. He’s already pulling and standing up!

Thank you to everyone who takes time from their day to read my posts! I hope your week is going great!

Legitimate Ways to Work From Home: Part 2 April 5, 2012

I’ve received a lot of great feedback on my last post about scam-free ways to make extra money. Here are a couple other sites I have found, and use. All of the links can be found on a new page I created titled “Work from home!” (top right, in blue).

1. Care.com: I have actually used this site for 5-6 years, and have no clue why I am just now putting it on here!  Create a profile, and you can then search for families who are seeking a babysitter/nanny, pet sitter, tutor and so on. I have found many jobs on here. Some of them where a one time thing, and others were full-time! Obviously this isn’t work from home, from it can be a side job.

2. Valued Opinions: My friend Alex actually pointed me towards this site, and I’m so glad she did! I’ve already made about $20 from taking surveys within the last week and a half or so. I know that doesn’t seem like much, but it adds up. But beware! The site is very slow, and can be very frustrating!

I also wanted to thank all of my followers, and viewers for voting for me as a Top Mommy Blog!  I’m hoping one day I will be able to make money from blogging, and add it to my list here:)

If you know of a way to make extra money from home, please share! Thank you!

Legitimate ways to work from home March 10, 2012

As a stay at home mom, I am constantly on the search for ways to make money, and never having to put my children in daycare, or in the care of a stranger. I’ve seen my share of scams, and in today’s world, they are everywhere! I’ve complied my list of sites that I’ve found that can lead to jobs at home, or just extra money. All of these links can be found on the right side of the page under “Work From Home.”

 1. Mysurvey: Here you can earn points for completing surveys. When you register, you provide some information about yourself and they match you with surveys accordingly. You are given points according to how long the survey was, or how much you had to participate. You can then exchange your points for rewards. I usually exchange my points for PayPal money, and either get something I need on Ebay, or switch the money into my bank account.  I usually get about $40 per month, which isn’t much but every little bit helps!

2. Elance: If you have special talents, or skills, Elance has thousands of job listings. People and companies post jobs or projects they need completed, that can be full-time, or just something quick. There are many types of jobs on here, and you really have to check it out to believe me. Once you complete your profile, you can search for jobs, and submit proposals on the ones that you can complete. The individual or company will then choose someone to complete it.

3. Find Focus Groups: Search in your area for studies, or for companies needing products tested. You complete a quick survey, and if you qualify, you participate and get paid! Some of these require you to actually attend studies. From what I’ve seen, they are usually on the weekends.

4. Task Rabbit: Have spare time on your hands? This website has many jobs posted from people who don’t have any extra time to do the simple things that you and I do…laundry, grocery shopping, and picking up the dry cleaning.  This is a fairly new site, and they are only serving certain US cities. But check back in, they are expanding!

5. Pro Blogger Job Boards: Here is a list of freelance writing jobs you can do from home. It is updated daily, so check back!

I will keep up my search for more sites! Enjoy your weekend:)
